BOSS is pleased to announce a partnership with Hotel Shattuck Plaza, who are partnering in BOSS’s efforts to provide shelter, housing, and support services to homeless families and individuals in our community.
Hotel Shattuck Plaza has donated space and amenities for BOSS meetings, food and a Silent Auction item for our upcoming Rising Stars Youth Leadership Gala, and has organized two employee volunteer days – once weeding and mulching at Ursula Sherman Village, and later this month, painting the entryway at our Multi-Agency Service Center!
Their latest venture is the launch of Shettuck for Shelter – an invitation to all hotel guests to make a small donation to BOSS when they check in or out of the hotel. To prepare for the launch of Shattuck for Shelter, BOSS Individual & Corporate Giving Manager Christine Lias made a presentation to Hotel employees and answered questions about BOSS’s work.
We are so grateful for the amazing generosity and community spirit of everyone at Hotel Shattuck Plaza, and the deep care they have shown for those in need in the Berkeley community, where they work and serve guests every day!
