Help Share BOSS’s Story on PBS!

Thank you Devin Ratoosh!

Local Marvin Gardens realtor and BOSS supporter Devin Ratoosh recently campaigned for votes for a 30 Under 30 Award from the National Realtor Association while collecting $1 per vote to donate to the BOSS Visionaries documentary film project. His campaign resulted in a $1,019 donation – and he won the award!

“I donated to BOSS for the first time earlier this year,” says Devin, “because I saw that with all the great things that have happened in the Bay Area, we’re seeing home price increases that are making it impossible for the people who have always been here to stay in their homes. I liked that I could visit and see the kind of work that BOSS is doing, which directly benefits local people at the moment when they need it.”

Congratulations Devin – thank you to you, and to everyone who voted & donated!!!

Visionaries Documentary – We Are Half Way There!!

BOSS has an exciting opportunity to have a documentary created about our 46 years of work fighting poverty, mass homelessness, mass incarceration and community violence, as part of the PBS documentary series, The Visionaries.

The project has been greenlighted by producers and with help from our community, we successfully raised Phase 1 dollars to enable the project to move forward! We have until August of this year to raise the rest of the production budget – approximately $40,000.

Please share the Phase 2 GoFundMe page, and stay tuned for special fundraisers to be organized all year!!

We will be organizing a special screening party when the documentary airs – all film investors and underwriters will be special guests!
