Hiwet Tesfamariam has extensive experience working in the financial industry, spending the initial part of her career in New York in investment banking compliance, and most recently working within financial technology companies building compliance and governance programs with a focus on consumer protection laws. The importance of service and volunteerism has been a continual thread starting in middle school growing up in DC to her time in New York, and now in the East Bay. She's excited to contribute to the expansive and important work that BOSS provides the community.
