Help Share BOSS’s Story on PBS!

Visionaries Documentary – Nearly There!

BOSS has raised approximately $35,000 for the production budget for a documentary that will be aired nationally on PBS as part of the PBS documentary series, The Visionaries — we are talking with the filmmakers right now about how much more there is to raise in order to wind up production and finalize a 12 minute film about BOSS to air nationally on PBS!!

Help BOSS showcase our 47 years of work in Alameda County fighting poverty and homelessness, and share SOLUTIONS to inequity on a national stage!!

You can mail donations to BOSS (indicate in the check memo that it is for the VISIONARIES), 1918 University Ave. #2A, Berkeley, CA 94704 — or donate online and indicate in the ‘support message’ field that you are supporting the Visionaries!

Stay tuned for updates!!!

Thank you Devin Ratoosh!

Local Marvin Gardens realtor and BOSS supporter Devin Ratoosh recently campaigned for votes for a 30 Under 30 Award from the National Realtor Association while raising $1 per vote to donate to the BOSS Visionaries documentary film project. His campaign resulted in a $1,019 donation – and he won the award!

“I donated to BOSS for the first time earlier this year,” says Devin, “because I saw that with all the great things that have happened in the Bay Area, we’re seeing home price increases that are making it impossible for the people who have always been here to stay in their homes. I liked that I could visit and see the kind of work that BOSS is doing, which directly benefits local people at the moment when they need it.”

Congratulations Devin – thank you to you, and to everyone who voted & donated!!!
