Every year BOSS tries to provide special holidays to the homeless families and individuals who are living temporarily in BOSS shelter and housing programs and working to turn their lives around – a delicious meal, fun activities, decorations, and the warmth of compassionate company. These activities rely on the amazing and generous support of our community!
This Thanksgiving, BOSS organized a wonderful dinner at our largest housing program, Ursula Sherman Village, thanks to the hands-on support of an amazing crew of volunteers, pictured above (L-R) (BOSS staff have an asterisk*):

In the words of Craig Edelblut, BOSS’s Food Services Program Manager, “My sincere thanks to all of you for your diligent service, your generosity of spirit, and your excellent sense of humor! Your participation in this event made this holiday special for everyone in attendance and for ourselves, also. I am very appreciative, and say so also on behalf of BOSS.”
Special thanks also to the amazing cooks and helpers in the Food Services Program:
Finally, a huge shout-out to the participants of BOSS’s Career Training and Employment Center (CTEC), who worked alongside staff in the lead-up to Thanksgiving:
Happy holidays and our deepest most heartfelt gratitude to all of you!
