For thousands of people who have felony convictions on their record, there are permanent bans and other consequences that prevent them from attaining or keeping housing, employment, education, family reunification and more. These are men and women who have, supposedly, paid their debt to society and are turning a new page as contributing community members – but the system is set up so they cannot contribute, they cannot move on. We are all losing out – lives are deeply harmed, and the community does not benefit from their contributions in the economy.

On Monday, September 11th, BOSS is hosting a special community forum in partnership with Californians for Safety and Justice to discuss how our current system has impacted us as individuals, families, and a community.

This event is now full, we are not accepting additional RSVPs. For more information, contact Donald Frazier, BOSS Executive Director, at 510.649.1930 x 1012.
