Every year BOSS tries to provide special holiday events to the families and individuals in BOSS programs who are working to turn their lives around – a delicious meal, fun and games, decorations, and the company of others. These activities rely on the amazing and generous support of our community!
On Friday, April 19th, BOSS hosted an amazing Easter dinner at one of our housing programs that specializes in homeless people with multiple disabilities, Rosa Parks House in Oakland. Community members enjoyed a celebratory feast that included turkey, yams, greens beans, dressing, rolls & dessert. The free event also provided a raffle, face paint for kids, games, prizes & more!
BOSS is happy to host events like these that give back to the community, especially on holidays like Easter, Thanksgiving, or MLK day, when it is important that everyone gets to celebrate – not just those who are privileged.
BOSS would like to thank the generous support of Melissa Woods for organizing the event and providing the food and decoration. Also, our utmost gratitude to BOSS Facility Manager Tonette Woodson, volunteers from CTEC, and residents of Rosa Parks House for providing their support as well.
