Breaking Barriers 2.0 – September 13

A note from BOSS Executive Director Donald Frazier to everyone who attended, supported, and participated in the recent Breaking Barriers 2.0 event:

“A note of heartfelt appreciation and gratitude for your support of the Breaking Barriers 2.0 Community Forum as we continue to, in the words of Californians for Safety and Justice, develop strategies to stop the cycle of crime, reduce reliance on incarceration, and build healthy communities. You are an important part of the fabric of our community, speaking your truth with the hope of one day harmonizing with humanity.”

Stay tuned for pictures and video!

Please join BOSS and partners to continue the progress made with our last Breaking Barriers event – bringing the community together for realistic and meaningful steps forward with criminal justice reform!

Professionals in the justice field as well as impacted individuals will share their insight on the current standings of our policies, previous and potential bills with the potential to eliminate some of the massive obstacles faced by our system-impacted loved ones, the re-entry population, and other alienated and marginalized communities. The previous Breaking Barriers event was part of a series of events statewide that resulted in a release of a white paper by Californians for Safety and Justice, Repairing the Road to Redemption in California.

Join us to celebrate this important white paper and discuss current reform bills addressing our homelessness crisis, justice reform, and violence prevention – to identify gaps and progress the dialogue together!

Don’t miss this important event! We hope to see you there!
