WEEK OF APRIL 13, 2020 – This week, the BOSS Career Training and Employment Center (CTEC) is taking its services virtual, to comply with the shelter-in-place order and protect the health and safety of both participants and staff while continuing to help those in need seek and find work at this difficult time, and beyond. Both new and existing participants are welcome to participate!
CTEC was created in 2014 partnership with Alameda County Probation to help citizens returning from incarceration build the knowledge, skills and experience needed to find gainful employment, support themselves and their families, and reduce prison recidivism. This innovative program has been a life-saving resource in the lives of hundreds of participants since it began – BOSS is determined to continue to provide its assistance to those in need.
Services to be provided virtually include the following:
- Courageous Healing Conversations, Azizi Gupton, MA, APCC, AMFT, Therapist
- SWAG UP, BOSS UP Professional Development, Suga T
- Owning Your Own Truth/ Motivational Speaker, Tina Robinson & Larrie Noble
- Career Pathways/ Merging 2 Worlds, Charlette Viney, MPA & Martin Malone, CAADAC I
- Workforce Coordination, Talia Summers
CTEC will have online classes Monday through Friday at 10 am. Both NEW and existing participants are welcome in these classes!
